Cristina Rodriguez is a third-year graduate student attending John F. Kennedy University’s Masters of Holistic Counseling Psychology Program. Cristina is completing her practicum year as an MFT Trainee and will become an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the Fall of 2020. Her passion is working with children, families, and individuals. Cristina’s practice is based on the belief that as individuals we already hold everything we need to heal ourselves. Our process is unique. Cristina will hold a space that is safe, accepting, and work with what presents itself in the room to guide her clients in completing their process, releasing what does not serve them, and heal the wounds that are working to prevent positive life changes and movement forward.
Cristina works with holistic forms of therapy, such as somatic experiencing, mindfulness practice, meditation, experiential therapies, traditional talk therapy and play therapy. Cristina believes in a holistic approach to therapy that targets the whole person. Deep healing occurs when the client connects inward and experiences the wide range of feelings innate within all of us. Whether it is trauma, recovery from addiction, codependency, abuse, depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, or other behavioral challenges, Cristina will be fully present to guide the healing journey.
